Conspiracy theories thrive in moments of uncertainty and fear, offering seemingly simple answers to complex problems. As the wildfires rage across Los Angeles, many people turn to alternative explanations to make sense of the devastation. While some theories are harmless speculation, others spread dangerous misinformation and hinder effective responses to crises. So, let's examine the hallmarks of conspiracy theories, understand their psychological appeal, and analyze specific claims surrounding the LA fires.

And my favorite part, let's look at the kind of person that regularly falls for conspiracy theories. You know, the anti-vaxers who believe in space lasers, the government controlling the weather, and now, that the reason to start the LA Fires and cause billions of damages to not only private property but to public infrastructure is building a "smart city."
