I knew nothing about a man named Guerra Junqueiro until I entered Panteão Nacional in Lisbon. My mission was to check out the historical site and marvel at some paintings and statues, as usual. I did that, and I have proof below. But as I looked down from one of the balconies inside the Pantheon, I noticed a small circular exhibit between the entrance and exit doors.
I am not sure how I didn’t notice it on the way in, but I am glad I didn’t miss it. You can read about him by following the link above. But as I looked at the various simple belongings of a very consequential man, I wondered: How can one person do so much in one lifetime?
