Remember, we live on an amazing planet
And Day 8 of the 30-Day Journaling Challenge
I don't know why but I've been looking up some amazing naturally occurring light effects. It started with the Aurora Borealis, wondering if I should go North to somewhere cold. I’m only a couple of hours away from Norway. Hmmm.
But then I ran into these light pillars.
Accordign to Wikipedia:
A light pillar or ice pillar is an atmospheric optical phenomenon in which a vertical beam of light appears to extend above and/or below a light source. The effect is created by the reflection of light from tiny ice crystals that are suspended in the atmosphere or that comprise high-altitude clouds (e.g. cirrostratus or cirrus clouds).[1] If the light comes from the Sun (usually when it is near or even below the horizon), the phenomenon is called a sun pillar or solar pillar. Light pillars can also be caused by the Moon or terrestrial sources, such as streetlights and erupting volcanoes.
And somehow, I stumbled on Fire Rainbows… Don’t ask. I regularly fall down rabbit holes. For the geeky science and more amazing pictures, this site has you covered.
The next Life Intelligence will be normal….
And now, today’s issue of the 30-Day Journaling Challenge. I’ve been answering my own prompts in the mornings while still in bed. I keep a notebook on my nightstand. It’s the first thing I do when I open my eyes, petting Lulu with one hand and writing with the other. I wonder if this has anything to do with the Autumn feeling a bit Bohemian.
This is my first Autum in decades. I mean, I’ve been through the calendar Autums annually, but not an actual change of seasons, walking through piles of leaves, feeling the Sun shine horizontally through the nakeding trees, and watching the forested hills catch on fire without burning.
I also can’t help but notice that I am answering my own prompts…as in, we are the questions and the answers we need to ask and answer for ourselves.
You can join the Journaling Challenge at any time. You will find the Journaling Challenge tab on the Life Intelligence home page. All you need is $8, the cost of 1 month subscription to Life Intelligence!
