In light of the results, this Wednesday's post will be "I-statements done wrong."
If you've never heard of I-statements, imagine you're in a conversation, and it's getting a little heated. You're upset, they're upset, and somehow, the argument has turned into a competition to see who can say the most things they'll regret later. I-statements can save the day!! But only if you use them correctly. Most people know to use I-statements when they want something from someone who doesn't naturally cooperate. Most think that's what they are doing, but they don't get the results they expect from the other person. Naturally, they think I-statements don't work.
We’ll see about that…Hopefully, after Wednesday, you’ll be a communication ninja.
