Welcome to this week’s Life Intelligence, where I get mixed up with some ancient characters and contradict my much younger self. Subscribe, and stick around. You’ll be in good company.
Thank you!!!
The "or" dilemmas most compel and torture us. Effort or surrender. Engagement or restraint. Being or doing.
Should I stay or should I go?
Should I cool it or should I blow?
To songs, friends, teachers, and gurus we go.
Looking for answers but learning them slow. 😊
The one I hate the most is having more than one option to spend an evening and agonizing over which one to exercise, like when tango falls on the same night as salsa. No, twenty-five years of yoga and meditation do not help. Neither does all the knowledge of Eastern philosophy or Western psychology.
Wanting two mutually exclusive things at the same time truly sucks! Could this be the wanting causing suffering the Buddha wondered about while sitting under the bodhi tree, "Should I meditate or contemplate?"
