Very good post. There are times, especially among depressed or anxious people, where you may need to engage the positive emotions because there are good things happening. We just may be so zeroed in on the negative. This was a great summary of what to do and how to identify the toxic positivity in our lives. We don’t know (as a society) how to cope with negative emotions or life periods and it’s worth knowing and sharing that there is joy and grief. It’s a package deal.

Thank you. We live in a world of opposites. To cancel out the negative in favour of the positive is to cancel out night in favour of constant daylight. What a nightmare a world of perpetual daylight would eventually turn into.
