The eye of the beholder!
Gratitude
I never saw “old” coming
then I celebrated eighty years.
Suddenly a twinge here,
an ache there emerges
along with a new appreciation
for friends and family who
supply me with words I can’t
recall, find keys I’ve misplaced
and remind me of appointments
I must not miss. Some might
begrudge the dependency,
I love the attention.
